A working special education teacher, advisor, and life skills tutor who built this practice so no one has to figure it out alone.
I have been a special education teacher for many years, and I still remember what it felt like to walk into my first classroom. There was a stack of IEPs I barely understood, a team of paraprofessionals waiting for me to lead them, and parents calling with questions I didn't yet know how to answer.
The training I received in college had not fully prepared me for the reality of the job, and the support I got from my school was limited at best. I figured it out — but it took longer than it should have, and it cost me more stress, sleep, and self-doubt than any teacher should have to endure.
That experience is what drove me to build this practice. I believe that every new special education teacher deserves a knowledgeable, experienced mentor in their corner from day one — not someone who will judge them for not knowing something, but someone who will meet them where they are and help them grow.
I also work with students and families through my life skills tutoring practice, where I bring the same hands-on, student-centered approach to building real-world independence skills for learners with disabilities.
"Every student deserves a great teacher, and every great teacher deserves great support. I am here to provide both."
Whether you're a first-year teacher or a family looking for life skills support, let's talk.
